New Desmond Doss Theatrical Movie
A new Desmond Doss Feature Film is in the works! And no, we're not talking about the 2004 documentary, "The Contentious Objector." Adventist filmmaker Terry Benedict (writer and director for "The Contentious Objector") will be 
working with Bristol Bay Productions and Walden Media to create the new movie. Walden Media co-produced "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."
Desmond Doss was an Adventist medic in the US Army during World War II. He saved the lives of more than 75 soldiers by lowering them over a 400 foot cliff in the midst of extremely heavy fire. Despite being ridiculed by his fellow soldiers, Doss refused to carry a gun. He received the United States' highest military award, Congressional Medal of Honor.

"Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story" movie update
Remember when we told you about the new Dr. Ben Carson movie back in July? Well, you can catch the new TNT Original Movie, "Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story" (yes, named after his memoir) on cable channel TNT sometime next year. The movie will follow Ben Carson's journey from inner-city Detroit to being the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. plays Carson; Kimberly Elise plays Carson's mother, Sonya.
