NBA Player Chris Paul agrees to meet with Adventist girl who lost her mom to cancer

UPDATE: Chris Paul agrees to meet with Leah Clayton. Watch her reaction

Students at Southern Adventist University have been asking us to spread the word about this. So we're joining them to #HelpLeeMeetCP3.

Laurence Clayton, a student at Southern Adventist University, had a very difficult decision to make.

His mom had terminal cancer and he didn't know how long she would live.

But Laurence was only one semester away from graduating. If he stayed at school, there would be a chance that his mom would get to see him become a college graduate. However, there was also a chance she could die without her son at her side.

He is Something more.

"One man's life changed the course of history for billions of people across the globe. He is both revered and reviled, famed and feared and you know who he is without a single mention of his name." —Moving Works

The 25 Best Adventist memes of 2012

Memes. Oh, memes...

2012 definitely flooded our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds with those pictures.

In case you you don't know what a meme is (we won't judge you), a meme is "an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture," according to the dictionary.

Well, soon people started creating memes about Seventh-day Adventist culture in North America.

These memes —part humor, part commentary, and part self-reflection— gave us a chance to look at ourselves and laugh.

And while you may be as tired of memes (as we are), we thought we'd take one last look at some of our favorite Adventist memes of 2012 (give or take a few days).

So here are our favorites, in no particular order. Credit for each meme can be found beneath each image. At the bottom of the post, vote for your favorite meme. Enjoy!

Two innocent Adventists locked up in Togo since March — world praying today for their release

Pray for Togo. Two Adventist Church members are still locked up for something they didn't do.

On Dec. 1, Seventh-day Adventists around the world will be fasting and praying for the release of two Christians imprisoned on false charges in Africa.

Even though local authorities have recognized the men's innocence, they refuse to release them, according to Adventist News Network.

Pastor Antonio dos Anjos Monteiro and church member Bruno Amah have been locked up since March 2012 in Lome, Togo "without hope of bail or trial."

Here's what happened and what you can do to help release our brothers in Christ, according to Adventist News Network (ANN):
